Ben Ami Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Searching for some other wines than I’m used to. Even searching for different countries, because I have tasted a lot from Italy lately. So I walked into a liquor store nearby and looked for a wine that attracted me. Thinking that it would be nice to enjoy the Friday evening with my wife on the couch with a good plate of cheese and meat. My eye felt on this Ben Ami Cabernet Sauvignon.
Unfortunately, there is completely nothing to find of the Ben Ami winery on the internet. The only thing we can write about this winery is that the vineyards are in the region of Galilee, Israel. The grapes come from the Judean Hills and according to the little information on the wine bottle the coastal plains give rounded fruit flavors, balanced by the firm structure and intensity of fruit from the Upper Galilee. The wine was aged eight months in American oak and made in the new world style.

My Notes:
It started nice with a mouth full of red fruits, but the wine was light-bodied in my opinion and a flattened length on the finish. Not really what I expected and. As said the wine got notes of full red fruit, like cherries and strawberry. Further notes of vanilla, tobacco, blackberries and a hint of ….. For me, a 3.0 Grape Dummies Score just because of the fruity taste.
