Bernhard Ott Am Berg 2019

Bernhard Ott Am Berg 2019

Since a little while wines with the Grüner Veltliner grape are becoming one of my favourite whites. After trying already a few, I got a Grüner Veltliner from my employer. He wanted me to try this one because it is his favourite.

Bernhard Ott is also known as Mister Grüner Veltliner. He is named like this because the people say he makes the most superior Veltliners. Once tasted, you’ll never want another Grüner Veltliner. Bernhard took over the winery from his parents back in 1991 and wanted to make the best Grüner Veltliner. According to the experts he succeeded to make very successful wines from the Grüner Veltliner. If I agree you’ll read that later in the notes, first some facts about this wine.

My Notes:

Indeed! What people say about the Grüner Veltliner from Bernhard Ott is absolutely true. A great white wine with a little bubble and a nice mouth full of fruits, apple, grapefruit, citrus, melon, pear, nice aroma’s, little creamy and a slight touch of honey. If you have the chance you definitely have to try some wines from Bernhard Ott!

Grape Dummies Score:

4.5 grapes
