Comte de Foix Cabernet Rosado

Comte de Foix Cabernet Rosado

Comte de Foix Cabernet Rosado is on the menu for today, June 26th, this year also known as International Rosé Day. It’s getting warmer in Spain, which means that besides the red I love, I sometimes also enjoy exploring some different options. One of these options is Rosé.

This rosé is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in de Penedès region of Spain. The contact with the skins has been so short that the wine has only turned rosé, instead of the deep red we normally expect from Cabernet Sauvignon. Time to taste it!

Facts:

Type: Rosé
Wine: Comte de Foix Cabernet Roasado.
Producer: Covides
Region: Penedès, Spain
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
Colour: Rose
Price: €3,00
ABV: 12,5%

My notes:

Loads of strawberry on this wine from Penedès. Further, there is cotton candy, raspberry and some cherry. Lemon and blackberry and caramel. This Rosé offers some nice tannins from the Cabernet Sauvignon, remember to make sure to drink it cold as then it can be lovely to accompany lunch on the warmer summer days.

What says Vivino about this wine:
