Epicuro Pinot Grigio 2020

Epicuro Pinot Grigio 2020

Earlier on we reviewed a red wine from Epicuro. Now it’s time for a white one. The way I got to this wine. There was a possibility to buy wine for a charity in our village and I bought a box. One of the wines is this Epicuro Pinot Grigio and after an earlier Epicuro, I was very curious to try this one.

Epicuro wine is very popular and is marketed by the winery Femar Vini. Femar Vini was founded in 1970 by Armando Merge. The winery is located in the south of Italy, just outside Rome. Femar Vini was completely renovated during its foundation. Meanwhile, Armando’s son Felice has followed the family tradition as a winemaker. Felice has been able to develop his own signature style of winemaking by experimenting with new, revolutionary processes, which have led to Femar Vini’s current levels of quality. This wine comes from Sicily and is made from the Pinot Grigio grape. Due to the volcano Etna, Sicily has rich, fertile soils. The grapes are being softly pressed and fermentation is at a very low temperature in a controlled environment. The maturation happens in steel tanks.
