Epicuro Primitivo Puglia IGP 2017

The other day my neighbour gave me this Epicuro Primitivo Puglia IGP 2017 wine as a gift for borrowing my Weber barbecue. And of course, it’s always nice to get a bottle of wine as a present and it also meant I had another wine to taste for our website.
The wine is produced in the back of the heel of the boot from Italy. The vineyards are based in Manduria, in the region of Puglia. Epicuro is a brand of Femar Vini SLR. Femar Vini’s philosophy involves a continuous search for the best quality wines from the south of Italy. A region that used to be known for many simple wines, but nowadays with a label like Epicuro produces delicious fresh and fruity wines that perfectly match the taste of the modern consumer.

I love this style of wine! Nice full grapes, very juicy with lots of cherries. A lovely Pale Ruby colour, beautiful tears in the glass. Notes of plum, tobacco, chocolate, raisin, clove and a touch of vanilla, maybe even some balsamic. What a pleasure this is people!
