Farina Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2015 – Tasting Journal

Farina Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2015 – Tasting Journal

We went out for dinner with a group of friends and as the evening progressed we were looking for the wines we wanted to try. Normally we don’t order expensive wines, but a friend of mine definitely wanted to order this bottle of wine, a €69,- wine in this restaurant. When you order this wine in a liquor store it would be around €30,-.

My Notes:

Lovely elegant Amarone wine! The wine has got a deep purple colour. I got a lot of aromas from this Amarone, notes of oak, vanilla, chocolate, plum and cherry. A full-bodied wine with a very pleasant taste in the mouth and good acidity, very balanced. Nice long after taste. What a great wine Amarone is this, you don’t really realize that this is a wine with 15% ABV.

Grape Dummies Score:

4.5 Grapes
