Hans Baer Riesling Trocken 2019
Do you also search for great wines with low prices? I do, because you can’t open up a very expensive bottle every weekend, unless, of course, you can afford this. That’s why I picked up this Riesling wine from Vivino. I saw some great reviews and thought lets put this in the shopping cart.
Hans Baer, first I checked two times the logo on the bottle. A bear on a to little bicycle, very funny to see and already puts a smile on the face. The tagline of the Hans Baer website is Follow the Baer! I think that’s why the bear is on the bicycle. Hans Baer has got its vineyards in the Pfalz region in Germany, located in the Rheinhessen area. Their headquarters are in Berlin. On the website they tell us: “Starting in his home town Berlin, our Hans Baer is travelling the world on his trendy bike bringing his treasured wines from Rheinhessen to a new generation of eager wine enthusiasts.” The website is looking nice and clear. We from the Grapedummies would say: Follow the Baer! Enjoy our tasting journal.

My Notes:
Can you imagine to pay that less for a wine that taste so great. So happy that I have got a bottle left in the cellar. A beautiful light wine, notes of citrus, green apple, lemon, peach, pear, some subtile minerals and a twist of honey. Good acidiy and nice length on the finish. You can definetely order a box of these without regrets.
