Henry Greuzard Mâcon la Roche Vineuse 2018

Henry Greuzard Mâcon la Roche Vineuse 2018

This week we review the Henry Greuzard Mâcon la Roche Vineuse 2018. A Chardonnay from Mâcon in Burgundy. Burgundy is always considered as a benchmark for quality, but up to now it has been missing in our tasting journal, so I guess it’s time to change that.

The Greuzard name is for generations connected with Château de la Greffière, but this wine is not named after the Château, and unfortunately, there isn’t much more information available than that this is a 100% Chardonnay. But at the end that doesn’t matter, let’s take a look at the most important quality, the taste!

My notes:

Citrus with lemon, banana, lychee, melon, butter and some vanilla. I also get pear, peach and some obvious minerals as well. Further, a touch of honey and pineapple to complete the notes of me. This is a lovely refreshing Chardonnnay.
