Jean-Louis Trocard Chateau Trocard Bordeaux Supérieur 2017

Jean-Louis Trocard Chateau Trocard Bordeaux Supérieur 2017

For this review we are heading to France. In the Bordeaux region you can find the winery we are talking about today. A wine that was laying in our office for a while and my colleague want to clean the office a little bit. So he gave everyone a wine to take home and now we are reviewing this one.

The Jean-Louis Trocard winery is located at the famous Bordeaux region in France. For this wine the Trocard winery says that quality is constant over the years. The wine is produced on the former gravel banks of the Isle river, tributy of the Dordogne river, soils that are the direct continuation of the Pomerol and Saint-Emilion banks.

My Notes:

The wine isn’t on his very best for now. It needs to age a couple of years longer to get to his best I guess. A lot of oaky and earthy notes like smoke, oak, tobacco, mushroom, vanilla and chocolate. Further a lot of dark fruits like blackberry and plum. Some red fruit like raspberry and a little bit spicy. As said maybe with a couple of years aging that the wine comes better to his right.

3.0 Grapes
