Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia 2016

Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia 2016

Today I want to share another Cava with you, This time I chose the Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia, a Brut Nature Gran Reserva. I was looking for a nice sparkling wine to accompany our homemade sushi, and this bottle caught my eye with its interesting label and numbered bottles.

This Cava is created with grapes from the three main “cava-grapes” Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada, and as Gran Reserva, it matured for 36 month’s sur lie. I’m looking forward to discover some longer matured vintage cavas as well.

My notes:

Delicious and soft cava. I get notes of apples, biscuit and some toast. Further a slight hint of citrus fruits with a small bubble. Peach, pear, jasmine and yeast are some of the developing notes on this cava. It turned out to be a great accompaniment to our homemade sushi. Well matured Cava, I recommend it!
