Laurenz V. Singing Grüner Veltliner 2018

Laurenz V. Singing Grüner Veltliner 2018

A couple of weeks ago we reviewed also a Grüner Veltliner wine from Am Berg and that tasted to more of this grape. The name of this wine looked well to me, a Singing Grüner Veltliner. Shall this be a Singing taste in the mouth? We will find out later.

The Laurenz V. winery is located in the Niederösterreich in Austria. The Lenz Moser family, are the winemakers and their name Laurenz V. comes from five (V) generations of winemaking experience. Their focus is just on a single wine variety, Grüner Veltliner, and has been a long favorite in Austria, where it represents almost a third of the country’s wine grape production. Grüner Veltliner is an upcoming popular grape in the wine world.

My Notes:

A nice Grüner! In my eyes not that good as the earlier Grüner from Am Berg Ott that we tasted, but this one is also very pleasant to drink. I captured notes of citrus, lemon, pear and peach, even a touch of lime. A nice fresh wine with medium acidity. Good in balance. A nice 4.0 grapedummies score! Enjoy!
