Les Coteaux du Rhône Tradition 2019
Today the Tour de France starts in Denmark for its 109th Edition, and that made me feel like sharing another French wine with you. Today I’ll take a look at the Les Coteaux du Rhône Tradition 2019.
I picked up this bottle last fall when I spend just over a week for some holidays in the Rhône valley, this bottle we brought back home for a later moment.
This is a cuvée from Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvedre, all grapes that we know from the Rhône blends. The vines grow in the clay-limestone soil terraces on the banks of the Aygues river around Sérignan du Comtat.

My notes:
Good Côtes du Rhône from Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre. Nice fruity and flavourful. Plum, cassis and prunes. Also strawberry, cherry and some leather. A touch of licorice, coffee as well as bramble. Lovely, nicely balanced GS(C)M blend!
