Maestro Italiano Gran Maestro Appassimento Bianco Puglia IGT 2019

It’s time for the second in the series of three reviews from the Maestro Italiano Gran Maestro series. As you have read in my first review about Maestro Italiano, I ordered unconscious three wines from Maestro Italiano. So that’s why it looked nice to me to make a series review of it. In the first review about the Rosso 2019 I gave the wine a 3.5 Grapedummies score and today we’re reviewing a white wine. Leaves us a red wine for the last review in the series.

A little recap about where the wine is made. The Cielo winery is based in Italy in the region of Puglia and one of the latest discoveries from winery Cielo is the Gran Maestro series. They made a series of 3 wines with an exceptionally good price-quality ratio, according to their website and we are going to taste the price-quality. The Cielo e Terra winery was founded in 1908 by a group of wine producers with the same interests. They had only one goal and that was to make good wines for a fair price. The wine of today was awarded with 95 points by the famous Luca Maroni index.

What I noticed first when tasting the wine was a little bubble/tingling in the mouth which wasn’t unpleasant. The wine gives a full powerful flavour in the nose, like a rich bouquet of tropical flavours, abricots, and a hint of vanilla. The taste is full and slightly heavy, with notes of peach, grapefruit, and pineapple. Medium-long length on the finish. This one gets a 3.5 Grapedummies score aswell!
