Massaluca Garnatxa Negra & Samsó 2019

Massaluca Garnatxa Negra & Samsó 2019

We’re back! After some technical changes behind the scenes, it’s time for a new review! This week I’ll share this nice blend from the Terra Alta region in Spain. This will be the first review from this region.

This red wine is made with (85%) Garnacha and (15%) Samsó which is matured for 6 months in European oak barrels. In general, I love the combination of Garnatxa and Samsó from the Northeast of Spain, so I’m curious to find out how this one will taste.

My notes:

Delicious mix of Garnatxa and Samsó. There is prune, chocolate and blackcurrant. Some leather, plum, cherry and dried fruit. A slight note of minerals is there as well. This is an interesting expression from the Terra Alta region.
