Mezquíriz Chardonnay 2018
21st of May 2020 is International Chardonnay Day, so what better day than this day to share with you our review of this Mezquíriz Chardonnay 2018. Chardonnay is one of the worlds most popular grapes, planted all around the globe, did you know that the first Grape Dummies review here on our website was a Chardonnay!? But now it’s time for our Chardonnay Day special and for this review, we will go to the north of Spain, to the Navarra DO.
I picked this up in a local supermarket for just under 2 euro. An extremely cheap wine, so I’m not expecting a super fancy wine, but I’m curious to find out if even for just a couple of euros you can get yourself something nice. Of course, we do like a nice and pricey wine every now and again, but wines priced like this can also be very interesting to explore as because of their price they’re available to many more people. Looking at the label the only information it gives us is that this is a Chardonnay and it’s fermented in oak barrels.

My notes:
Nice Chardonnay fermented in oak. I get butter, apple, banana and some citrus fruits. Some lime, cream and melon complete this wine. 3 grapes, but I would’ve almost given 3,5 considering the price! If you can get this one for 2 euros you can’t go wrong.
