Monte Llano Tempranillo Rioja 2019

Last week our neighbours invited us for a dinner. Lucky for us, our neighbours also love wine. They came up with this Rioja wine from 2019. So I thought let’s take a photo and review this wine!

Monte Llano Tempranillo from the Spanish wine region of Rioja is marketed by Bodegas Ramón Bilbao. Bodegas Ramón Bilbao was founded in 1924. This winery has a long history and has been working for years to achieve the highest achievable quality. At Bodegas Ramón Bilbao their wines are made in a modern way with respect for the old Spanish traditions. Monte Llano Tempranillo is made 100% from the Spanish Tempranillo grape, with part of the wine aging for 12 months in American oak.

What a pleasant Rioja wine is this. A so-called delicious daily drinking wine. A nice full-bodied but smooth wine, that drinks well. A nice beautiful bouquet of ripe fruits like cherries, blackberries and plums. Nice oaky notes like tobacco and a touch of vanilla. Further some earthy notes like smoke and a little pepper. Well balanced in the mouth and a good medium-long length on the finish. Pour me another glass I would say. A nice 4.0 Grape Dummies Score. Enjoy!
