Panamera Chardonnay 2020

My latest review, two weeks ago. Made me curious about more wines from the United States. In my cellar, I had also a white wine from the region of California. Time to make a second review about a USA wine. This time a white Chardonnay. Let’s take a look at the winemaker.
This Panamera wine is a label from Story Ridge Vineyards, based in St. Helena. The winemaker is Steve Rued. Panamera is produced in the Napa Valley. One of the most beautiful wine areas of the USA. With a lot of sun and a good climate, take care that the chardonnay grapes are firm and fresh. The wine is fermented under controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. They want to give as much fruitiness and a mineral character to the wine as possible. Aging for 6 to 8 months in French wooden barrels (80%) and American oak barrels (20%).

My Notes:
That’s looks good in the glass. A beautiful medium gold color. The wine is not as bold as I expected, but the taste is nice. The wine got fruity notes like apricot, pear, banana, some citrus and a little bit tropical. Further notes are vanilla and it’s good on the minerals. Also the wine is nice soft, creamy and buttery. For me a 3.5 Grape Dummies Score.
