Perinet Rosé 2019
Rosé, isn’t the busiest category on our GrapeDummies website, but in the summertime it can be a delicious and refreshing drink! Perinet is a great winery, we visited it last summer in the Priorat region when my wife was pregnant. This meant she couldn’t taste any of the wines in the tasting, but she did have a sniff of them, and this one she loved. So we bought a bottle for home, saved for when she could taste it, and that is now!

The Rosé was a great surprise in the tasting, as it wasn’t mentioned anywhere online. This 2019 vintage had been bottled just a week before our visit. The wine is made of 100% Garnatxa grapes and bottled at 16,5% ABV! That’s the highest ABV I’ve ever had on a still wine! Now a year later we decided to make a lovely seafood dinner to marry it with this wine.

My notes:
It’s time to open this rosé from Perinet in Priorat. Loads of strawberry, cherry and some melon. There are these mineral notes, leather and stone. A touch of lemon and citrus fruits. This Garnatxa is bottled at 16,5% ABV but you don’t notice the high strength. Great wine for the summer months.
