Petit Nûr 2016
A couple of months ago I was wandering through my local wine store and this bottle grabbed my attention, Petit Nûr 2016 from the Priorat region in Spain. As it’s one of the regions close to home it’s one I always keep an eye on!
This Petit Nûr is a blend of Garnacha and Cariñena which has matured for 8 months in oak. Normally that’s just enough to create some oaky flavours in addition to the true fruitiness from the wine. Let’s see how that turned out today!

My notes:
A lovely meaty Priorat from Garnatxa and Carinyena. I get some pepper, vanilla, oak and chocolate. Further, it’s full of fruits with strawberry, raspberry, cherry and plum. There is cured meat, leather and tobacco with a hint of lemon and orange. A great mix of fruit and oak, a wine that I will want to buy again, especially for this price! Recommendable!
