Philibert du Charme Reserve Spéciale Cabernet – Merlot 2017

Philibert du Charme Reserve Spéciale Cabernet – Merlot 2017

This time a wine from the most famous wine country in the world, France. A country where the cyclist are riding at the moment for the Tour de France. Today the cyclist are crossing the Languedoc region, just like yesterday when they touched a little piece of this region. The wine we are reviewing today comes from the Languedoc region. So if you’re following the Tour de France, hopefully they will show some vineyards today.

As already said the Philibert du Charme winehouse lays in the region of Languedoc and for this wine they use two grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The winehouse from Philibert du Charme works hard in the vineyards to give the grapes anything they need. With modern winemaking techniques they try to reach a nice soft style. Unfortunately on the internet is rarely anything to find about the Philibert du Charme winehouse.

My Notes:

Lovely red wine this is. Good on taste. Nice balanced. Beautiful intense red colour. Notes of coffee, chocolate, ripe blackberries, cherry, black currant and little bit spicy because of cinnamon. Good tannins and nice length on the finish.

Grape Dummies Score:

4.0 Grapes
