Ponte Lungo Curioso Toscana Rosso 2017
Ordered this wine on Vivino a little while ago, where it was on an offer that time for €8,95. Last weekend it was Valentine’s Day and I found this was a good occasion for opening this wine in combination with a beautiful homemade Italian dish, namely Tagliata di Manzo. A popular Italian dish which you can make easily at home.
Punte Lungo is created, in the Tuscany region of Italy. The maker’s goal with the Curioso wine is to create a wine that is conceived as an attempt to experiment with new techniques to surprise the wine drinker.

My Notes:
From the first moment it was love at first sight, and that is what you want on a day like Valentine’s Day. A beautiful medium ruby colour in the glass. A lovely smell of smoke and espresso in the glass. On the palate, you can taste the black cherries and also notes of sweet balsamic, plum, raisin and chocolate. Maybe also a hint of vanilla. It’s a very well round wine and for me it’s got a nice balanced finish. Definitely going to order more bottles of this wine. Enjoy!
