Raimat El Silenci del Molí 2016
During these crazy times that many of us are living in today we’ve thought to share some additional reviews with you. So instead of one weekly review, we’ve decided to share two reviews a week, for at least the coming two weeks.
For this weeks wine I’m gonna stay close to home. Raimat is a winery literally 15 minutes driving from my home. I always think it’s good to support your local business, especially in times like these.
For El Silenci del Molí, Raimat used Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and the wine is matured for 12 months in oak. It’s named after an old windmill that used to work on the estate.

My Notes:
Intense Cabernet Sauvignon from the Costers del Segre, region. Even though this winery is close from home this is the first time I’m able to discover a wine from them. Strawberry and cherry on the nose. Further black cherry, some pepper, blackberry and a hint of balsamic. I get some wood spices from the maturation in oak for 12 months. There is vanilla, mint, milk chocolate and even some coffee. Delicious wine.
