Raventós i Blanc De La Finca 2019

Raventós i Blanc De La Finca 2019

This is becoming a yearly feature now, the review of the newest De La Finca from our friends of Raventós i Blanc. Earlier I reviewed both the 2016 and the 2018 vintage, and this time it’s time for the latest release, the 2019.

The 2019 vintage had a wet autumn and a fresh spring with a dry and warm summer. This all resulted in a vintage with good grape ripening. Compared to the former vintage the coupage includes a bigger part of the Macabeu grape. There is 50% Xarel·lo, 40% Macabeu and 10% Parellada.

My Notes:

This keeps on being an amazing Sparkling wine. One that I come back to so often, very refreshing with notes of green apple and citrus, it has minerals, with some brioche, yeast and stone. Almond, butter, honey and pear. Further a touch of lemon and pineapple. Highly recommended.
