Raventós i Blanc de Nit 2020
Our final review for this year’s Sparkling Wine Week is of the Raventós i Blanc de Nit 2020. An interesting rosé containing 40% Xarel·lo, 39% Macabeu,15% Parellada, and 6% Monastrell. The latter is what gives a very interesting colour to this wine. The second fermentation on the lees takes at least 18 months.

My Notes:
Very nice sparkling rosé, with fresh notes of grapefruit, lime, toast, apple, stone and hay. There are tiny bubbles which result in an enjoyable mouthfeel. Raspberry, minerals and strawberry are also well integrated into the flavour palate. Further, I shouldn’t forget to mention the citrus fruits, toast and cream.
Great sparkling wine, and recommendable to pick up for the season!
