Rib Tickler Shiraz 2019

Wines from the United States are becoming more popular latest time. In several television programs about wine, they are talking more about wines from the USA than ever before. And it looks like USA wine is achieving a growing market share. In my history, I didn’t notice many wines from the USA. With my latest order on Vivino it was time to order a bottle from the USA.

The Rib Tickler wine is coming from the label of Boutinet. Boutinet has got vineyards over the whole world and their Head Office is located in the United Kingdom. For now, we only focus on this Rib Tickler label.

For over 10 years Boutinet is active with their Rib Tickler label in California. To specify in the warm region of Lodi in Central California, to make the brightest wines of The Sunshine State. First, the grapes are de-stemmed and pressed. The fermentation takes place in a tank, preserving the juicy fruits. At last the wine is matured with an oak component for 4 months.

If you look at the label of the wine, you can read Big, Bold and Juicy. That is totally right. This is a bold and juicy wine. Just nice on the tannins, which makes it a pleasure to drink. Immediately you smell oaky and fruity notes. A big palate of fruit on the taste. Like cherry, plum, raspberry, licorice and also a little bit jammy. Further some vanilla, a dash of light pepper and a hint of caramel. Very nice wine. I loved it and give it a 4.5 Grape Dummies Score.
