Riporta Primitivo 2020

There is my favourite grape again, the Primitivo! I’m so in love with this grape, that I should fill up my whole cellar with Primitivo’s. But then there isn’t any space for any other grapes, so I’ll have to keep it mixed. I was during my vacation in the Dutch Gall&Gall liquor store and they had a discount, 50% off the second bottle, so I picked up this bottle and a other one, which I hope to review later.

According to the bottle Riporta is a part of the Fantini Group Farnese or Fantini Vini. This group is offering wines from a lot of vineyards in the Italian country, earlier I wrote about the Vigneti del Vulture Pipoli Aglianico del Vulture 2018, which is also from the Fantini Group. If you check out their website or search on the internet for Riporta at the Fantini Group, you’ll not find any result. At least I didn’t get any. If you got one, please let us know.

Again exactly why this is my favourite grape. A nice full red grape, yet bold and not dry. A very pleasant fruity wine with a lot of red fruits, like cherries, berry juice. Oaky notes, a little bit of tobacco, and spicy. Even a hint of vanilla and a little bit sweet. Good length on the finish. A nice 4.0 Grape Dummies Score.
