Sumarroca Nostrat Noir de Noirs 2021

Sumarroca Nostrat Noir de Noirs 2021

Sumarroca is a Cava and wine producer in the Penedès wine region. Earlier I reviewed the Sumarroca Cava Brut Rosé 2016, but for this new review, we look at a Noir de Noirs red wine.

The Sumarroca Nostrat Noir de Noirs is a blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes grow in different spots within the Sumarroca estate in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia with chalky soils and gravel.

My notes:

Fresh red wine, there is cherry, jam, raspberry and raspberry. Further a touch of balsamic and some yeast. Eucalyptus, fennel and cassis are there as well.

A nice coupage of different red variety grapes.
