Tinazzi Ca’ de’ Rocchi Dugal Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot 2019

Tinazzi Ca’ de’ Rocchi Dugal Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot 2019

Time for a new red wine review today. While heating up the temperatures here in the Netherlands, I’m normally more in for white wine. But then we will have a whole summer of white wine reviews. Today a wine from the Veneto area in Italy.

The Tinazzi winery is a historic, family-run company based in Lazise around Lake Garda. Increasing very fast in the past couple of years, with the expansion of their properties in the areas of Valpolicella and Puglia. The Tinazzi winery produces wines from the regions of Veneto and Puglia, today’s wine comes from the Veneto area with a total production of about 2 million bottles a year. Their goal is to guarantee the highest quality of wines with strong attention to tradition combined with a continuous search for innovation. If you ever are around in the area of Tinazzi, then bring a visit to their estate.

My Notes:

A heavy bottle always feeling great. A Bordeaux blend from this Italian winemaker with a lovely full body. A rich soft taste of ripe red fruits. Further notes of cherries, plums, some tobacco, chocolate, good spices. A medium-long length on the finish and some nice tannins. Let it breathe for 30 minutes till an hour to get the best out of the bottle.
