Torres Sangre de Toro Original 2017
The wine we’re going to taste in this journal, is a red wine which a saw in our local market. It was in discount and attracted my eye, after a quick scan with the Vivino app, I thought, this one I’m going to taste and I was surprised, especially because of the price but more because of the tasting later.
First more about the wine. As I already said it’s a red wine. This is a wine from probably one of the most famous winemakers of Spain, Torres. The name of Sangre de Toro, blood of the bull in English, is intended as a homage to Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and also know as son of the bull. The Sangre de Toro is a traditional wine in harvesting and producing, after this process it rests for 6 months on American oak barrels. The wine is made from two types of grapes, Garnacha and Cariñena.

My Notes:
This sure is a lovely wine compare to his price. In the glass you see an intense medium ruby colour. The notes that are coming forward for me are oak and clove with a rich bouquet of black fruits in the body, compared with some leather. A good balance of fruit and tannins, a smooth drinking wine with a good length on the finish. I think you can drink this with almost any occasion. Super value for money!
