Zonin Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2017
Italian wines are attracting me more and more, because in a lot of cases so far, they are very fruity. By drinking more wines I noticed that I enjoyed the most, wines that were very fruity and over time Italy went ahead in my personal preferences. So I thought let’s try a new Valpolicella wine after I did earlier this year a review about another Valpolicella
This Valpolicella Ripasso wine is a wine from the Familia Zonin. The Familia Zonin is part of a much bigger company called ZONIN1821. ZONIN1821 has got 9 estates in 7 of Italy’s regions and they also got one winery in Virginia in the United States. You can call them one of the most important Italian wine producers. The ZONIN1821 company is inspired by the principle that each region got its own traditions and own wines. The number 1821 in the head company title is referred to the year 1821, according to the year that the company was cadastral registered.

My Notes:
A very nice Ripasso wine. Comfortable to drink and very smooth. Easy drinking. A lot of cherry, some chocolate and cacao, oaky notes and plum. Some soft tannins and a medium good length on the finish. Enjoyed this one with some pasta and as you saw on the picture with a snack board. A nice 4.0 grapes score for this Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore.
